When Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May roared out of the BBC’s Top Gear garage and onto Amazon’s tarmac in 2016, fans held their breath. Would the magic still be there without "The Stig" and the cool wall? The answer, delivered at deafening volume, was a resounding yes.

It features the single funniest visual gag of the entire series. After Clarkson "modifies" Hammond’s truck by extending the wheelbase with scaffolding poles (making it look like a limousine for hillbillies), the look of confused rage on Hammond’s face is worth the Amazon subscription alone. The episode ends with the trio admitting defeat and towing each other across the finish line. 6. “One for the Road” (Season 5, Episode 3) – The Farewell It feels wrong to call an episode "the best" when it makes you cry, but it would be dishonest to leave it off the list. The final episode sees the trio travel to Zimbabwe in cars chosen by each other. It is slower, sadder, and more reflective than anything they have ever done.
