Do not run any "fixes" if you need the data. Because the controller is in a low-level state, professional recovery software won't work. You need a hardware tool (like PC-3000) or a specific debug command in MPTool to rebuild the translator. If you value the data, stop here and contact a pro.
If you fix the drive using the tools mentioned above, never trust it with important data again. Once a PS2251 throws a "Formatter" error, it will happen again.
Warning: This will permanently erase every bit of data on the drive, including the partition table and any hidden recovery partitions.
