The concept of a nudist pageant isn't brand new. Various nudist clubs and resorts have held "Queen" contests since the 1970s and 80s, often as a fun part of annual summer gatherings. However, the most famous and well-organized version emerged from the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) , particularly through events at large resorts like Cypress Cove in Florida.
