What is a "BrRip"? A BrRip (Blu-ray Rip) is a video file sourced from an original Blu-ray disc. Unlike a full disc backup (which can be 25-50 GB), a BrRip is compressed into a smaller file size (typically 700 MB to 2 GB) while retaining significantly better quality than a DVD rip. The term distinguishes it from a WebRip (streaming source) or HDRip (often from inferior sources).
