We are not typing to communicate anymore. We are typing as communication. The hesitation, the typo, the sudden shift in tone, the word you clearly meant to delete but left in by accident—these are not errors. They are signals.

Once, writing was a chisel. A hammer. You carved into stone, into papyrus, into the thin skin of a letter. Every word cost something—time, space, a drop of ink that could never be un-spilled. Mistakes were permanent. You learned to think before you moved your hand.

The typista is not an author. An author finishes. An author binds. The typista performs writing—live, raw, full of false starts and parenthetical asides. We type fragments. We post threads. We leave half-formed ideas hanging in the digital air like laundry in a storm.

You are a typista. You are beta. And that is not a flaw. That is the whole point.
