Ullu Ymal 2021 Review

Ramesh was our Ullu Yamla . Last Tuesday, he looked for his glasses for twenty minutes while wearing them on his nose. The week before, he tried to pay the vegetable vendor with a Monopoly bill. When the vendor laughed, Ramesh nodded seriously and said, “Don’t worry, the bank always prints more.”

We call him an ullu (owl) because he looks perpetually surprised by his own mistakes. We call him yamla because his foolishness has a rhythm—one silly act followed by an even sillier justification.
